Northwest men's basketball capped a perfect weekend with an 84-54 victory over Lincoln Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats (3-0) held off a late surge from Central Missouri Thursday, but didn't leave any doubt against the Blue Tigers.
Northwest never trailed in the game, and opened up a double-digit lead with just over seven minutes remaining in the first half. A 16-2 run ballooned the lead to 17 points. Lincoln cut the deficit to 12 early in the second half, but a 17-2 run put the game out of reach.
Ryan Hawkins led the Bearcats with 34 points and nine rebounds.
Trevor Hudgins finished with 19 points shooting 5-5 on three-point attempts, with five assists.
